It’s eighteen minutes after nine in Houston. World Suicide Prevention day is a week away. We’re behind on schedule, though that’s the worst of it. Thankful. This coming week, we are highlighting people. Just people. Some may live with mental illness; some have never had a spout of depression or anxiety or any mental health aberration. The thing is, you can’t tell from a picture. You can’t tell by looking at somebody that they’re hurting on the inside or even that they’re not. This week, we’re encouraging and reminding you: to ask the questions, to connect, to be real, to be vulnerable. We request, that you do it with love; and always, always, always, if you connect and get an answer you may not be equipped to deal with, please advise people to a mental health professional.
